Third Strand Baby Mac

“My husband and I have the most amazing daughter who will be turning four soon, and are pregnant with a sweet baby boy. We were overjoyed about becoming a family of four and then, at 26 weeks pregnant, our lives were turned upside down when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I started chemo just two weeks later with our little warrior baby and have one more round before I will be induced a few weeks early. Once our sweet boy is born, I will be continuing with five more rounds of chemo just a few days after and then eventually surgery followed by radiation. As a result, I will not be able to breastfeed my son.

I was so grateful to be able to breastfeed my daughter for over two years and believe so strongly in the benefits of breast milk. I knew I still wanted to find a way to provide that for my son even if my own body couldn’t. After a ton of research and reaching out to numerous organizations and milk banks, I received a call from Kyle saying he wanted to send our family 10 gallons of donor milk to feed our baby boy. That call lifted a huge weight and so much worry off of our shoulders and I am so unbelievably grateful for Kyle, Third Strand, and all of the amazing people and donor mamas who make what this organization does possible.” ~Lindsey
